How safe do Swiss internet users feel in the cyberspace?

Cybersecurity 10:48

The digital landscape is constantly changing, and with it comes a growing need to be aware of internet and online shopping safety. The final report 2023: Security on the Internet & Online Shopping, provides revealing insights into the attitudes and behaviour of Swiss Internet users with regard to cyber security.

Translated with DeepL

The market and social research institute gfs-zürich conducted a total of 1239 population-representative interviews in all three parts of Switzerland from 7 August to 4 September 2023. The aim was to determine the attitudes of Swiss internet users towards cyber risks, the extent to which they are affected by attacks and the implementation of security measures. Questions were also asked about behaviour and feelings of security when shopping online. The survey was conducted on behalf of digitalswitzerland, the insurance company Mobiliar, the University of Applied Sciences Northwestern Switzerland FHNW, the Swiss Academy of Engineering Sciences SATW and the Swiss Internet Security Alliance SISA.
