SATW Forum "Defossilisation of the Swiss chemical industry - shaping the future"

Energy and environment 14:17

A rapid reduction in greenhouse gas emissions is essential to effectively combat climate change. The energy sector in particular, which is heavily dependent on fossil fuels such as crude oil, natural gas and coal, is at the centre of this. However, the chemical industry also uses these raw materials as important basic materials. In order to achieve climate neutrality and at the same time improve security of supply, the aim is therefore to achieve comprehensive defossilisation in all sectors and processes. The SATW has invited representatives from industry, associations, administration and research to an exchange to discuss challenges and solutions and to identify ways to defossilise the chemical value chain from a Swiss perspective.
