Switzerland’s food system is coming under increasing foreign pressure, a situation that often represents a major challenge for SMEs in particular. To safeguard the country’s food system, the Swiss Academies of Arts and Sciences have launched the Food 4.0 initiative under SATW’s leadership. By funding innovative projects across the entire value chain, the initiative aims to help strengthen Switzerland as a centre of production.
SATW’s interdisciplinary orientation makes it the right organisation to lead the Food 4.0 initiative to success. As a member of the Support Group, I appreciate being able to make a contribution, particularly by providing a humanities perspective.
