Switzerland’s food system is coming under increasing foreign pressure, a situation that often represents a major challenge for SMEs in particular. To safeguard the country’s food system, the Swiss Academies of Arts and Sciences have launched the Food 4.0 initiative under SATW’s leadership. By funding innovative projects across the entire value chain, the initiative aims to help strengthen Switzerland as a centre of production.

The Food 4.0 Support Group comprises key people from the Swiss food system who actively contribute their expertise to planning and implementing the initiative. The Group’s interdisciplinary composition ensures that all links in the value chain benefit equally from the initiative.
